Concert guitar 7 string

Custom built 7 string master grade concert guitar

By Luthier Gringhuis

~~~~~~~~~~
This custom master grade concert guitar is a unique piece. It has 7 strings instead of 6 and was commissioned by a client who is playing a Brazilian guitar style called “Choro”. Since traditionally the Choro groups have no bass instrument the 7th string was added to the classical guitar to be able to play the (counterpoint) bass parts.
In Brazil the guitar is named “Violão de sete cordas”
