Archtop Jazz guitar

Custom built Archtop Jazzguitar

~~~~~~~~~~
Building Archtop jazzguitars is truly a pleasure. I’ve built this one for Belgian guitarist/producer Frederik Segers as a first of a series. The solid woods are carved by hand. A time consuming manual labour but worth every minute as the top is voiced to resonate at its best ability. Building Archtop guitars reminds me of the years that I studied Violin making. What makes the guitar even more special is that she’s finished with French polish. This is a very fine layer of handrubbed finish that is usualy on concert guitars.
